Mrs. Rhonda Michelle Jordan

In Loving Memory Of; On May 5, 1962, Rhonda Michelle Jordan made her debut into this world to the union of Herbert Currie and Eleanor Currie Sneed, both who have preceded her in death. Rhonda’s parents and large extended family provided a very loving and Christian environment, which in turn led Rhonda to accept Christ at an early age. Rhonda attended the Detroit Public Schools system, graduating from Redford High School in 1980. While in high school she participated in various activities such as choir, cosmetology and was an avid volunteer with the Red Cross. After high school, she continued her education at Wayne County Community College and the University of Detroit-Mercy. With a bright smile and vivacious personality that could light up any room; Rhonda was ALWAYS upbeat and had the uncanny ability to put a positive spin on ANY situation (LOL). It is no wonder, why many individuals always sought out her wise and balanced counsel. Rhonda (a.k.a.“Laughing Rhonda”) had an infectious laugh, sense of humor and an impeccable comedic timing! (She seriously should have been on performing stage somewhere!) Her impressions of our Mother, Father and various other relatives were always spot on and would have the family in tears from laughing so hard! Her wit, quick comebacks and personality often led her to be the center of attention and/or entertainment at many of our family functions! She was simply hilarious! You can best believe there was NEVER a dull moment when she was around! Rhonda was a very diverse, stylish and multifaceted woman. She had an absolute LOVE of reading, poetry ( especially Nikki Giovanni and Ntozake Shange), pop culture and who can forget her exemplary taste in MUSIC! Career-wise, Rhonda held a diverse number of titles over her lifetime, such as an Administrative Assistant at Peace Baptist Church as well as her service as a Deacon, Choir Member and Book Ministry but perhaps the most important and precious titles of all, were the titles of loving and steadfast “Mother, Wife and Grandmother.” As Mother to Donnell (D. J.) and Danielle (Dani), she often spoke of how proud she was of her children, and EVERYONE KNOWS just how much she LOVED her grandson, OUSTIN! In 2004, she was united in Holy Matrimony with the dear love of her life, Richard. Theirs was a relationship which exemplified and displayed love in its purest form. On November 26, 2019, the beautiful Rhonda Michelle Jordan made her heavenly ascension. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Lois Sneed, only 5 short months ago and her father-in-love, Richard D. Jordan Sr. The Bible tells us “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” We take great comfort in knowing that they all are now with the Father.
