Mr. Leslie Ricardo Tye

In Loving Memory of Leslie Ricardo Tye, was born on July 19, 1958 to Leslie Benge and Joyce Tye. Les was the oldest of ten siblings. His parents Leslie Benge and Joyce Tye, two brothers Leonard Tye and Gregory Benge, and one brother-in-law, Kemo Evans preceded him in death. Leslie (Les) attended the Detroit Public School system starting out at Albert L. Stephens Elementary, continuing to Burroughs Jr. High and graduating from Cooley High School 1976. On January 20, 1977 Leslie R. Tye (Les) was blessed with his son Leslie Alan Tye (Mom Cynthia Tye). In 1977, Leslie R. Tye joined the National Guard Certificate of Completed Civil Disturbance training. Les was stationed in Fort Knox Kentucky one of his duties was guarding the United States Weapon, Repairing weapons and he worked in the field artillery. Les returned home in 1980 to begin his life’s journey. Les worked numerous of jobs throughout his life doing security for Rampart Detective, Jarco Security, Shield Security just to name a few; before he knew it he had eighteen years under his belt, he was known as top cop of security. Les enjoyed working on cars, painting and racing for titles if you were Leslie Benge’s son you knew how to work on cars that was his specialty. Leslie R. Tye met Donita at Farmer Jacks in the meat department where she stole his heart and his meat… they began a life long journey happy and in love, they were Adventurous and extraordinary for 37 years they moved to Los Angeles, California for some years. While there Les went on to further his education attending Barclay Career School, after returning to Michigan he started working for Wolf Properties managing the building doing odd job throughout. He was known as the Rent Man. Les loved life…he was one of the sharpest dress men I knew, he did not leave the house unless he was together looking good and smelling good. He got that from his Dad, Mr. Benge. Les was known for his Gold Chains and his Cadillac Cars and Trucks. Les leaves to cherish his memories, Donita Tye, one son Leslie A. Tye, two granddaughters Lesi Evans and Aniya Tye, Rose Marie (Step-Mom), eight siblings Norman (Margaret), Leslie Dion (Sutrina), Robert (Kelli), Mark (Toya), Keith (Amanda), Debbie, Kim (Louis), Zina (William) one brother-in-law, Ascension Nelson, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
