Ms. Latrice Nicole Jackson

With love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Latrice Nicole “Nikki” (Wright) Jackson, whose spirit touched all who knew her. Nikki was born on December 10, 1983, at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, to Fleta Wright. She was also lovingly raised by her devoted Dad and Godfather, Charles Welden Bragg, who guided her with compassion, wisdom, and strength from the time Nikki was born. Nikki received her education through the Detroit Public School Community District and graduated from Cody High School, where she played on the basketball team. She later earned a degree in Culinary Arts from Wayne County Community College District. Nikki was a faithful member of the Ark of Deliverance Church in Detroit under the leadership of Rev. Robert T. Jones, where she sang in the choir and actively participated in the youth group. A talented chef with a deep passion for cooking, Nikki turned her love of food into her life’s work. She launched her own catering business and restaurant, sharing her creativity and flavors with many. Most recently, she worked as a hostess at Motor City Casino. Nikki’s hobbies included cooking, dancing, and singing. As a child, she loved riding her bicycle through the neighborhood, filling those around her with laughter and joy. At the heart of Nikki’s life was the unwavering love of her mother, Fleta Wright, who was her greatest supporter and friend—guiding her with tenderness, wisdom, and steadfast devotion. Nikki also carried a profound bond with her Dad and Godfather, Welden, whose nurturing spirit and unconditional love shaped her into the strong, spirited, and resilient woman she became. Nikki leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Fleta Wright; her beloved Dad and Godfather, Charles Welden Bragg; two sons, Jalen M. Franklin, Sr. and Willie Jackson III; one daughter, Anaiyah Jackson; and her precious grandson, Jalen M. Franklin, Jr.; her brother, Brandon Bonney. Nikki’s extended circle of love includes Jeanne Franklin and her bonus grandmothers, grandfather, brothers, and nephew. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bernice and James Wright; her bonus grandmothers; three maternal aunts, Emma, Edeythe, and Reba; and her maternal uncle, William. Nikki will remain forever in our hearts. Her love will continue to live on through her children, family, and all who were blessed to know her.
