Mrs. Hattie Boyd Wynne

Hattie Boyd Wynne “AKA” Mommy, Grandma Louise, and Aunt Jesse Forever 80, she was born in Grenada, Mississippi, on March 4, 1945, to the union of James “Jim” Williams and Jesse Louise Washington who both preceded her in death. Hattie accepted Christ at an early age, she was always spiritual. She attended regularly here at the Full Gospel Church of the Sons of God for a spell. Hattie was one of the favorite aunts to countless nieces and nephews, for she was the baby of 13 brothers and sisters where she made number 14. 5 brothers who preceded her in death, Cliff, Eugene, Jimmy, Glen (Utha Mae), Clayton (Louise), and 1 living brother Leon (lovingly called Uncle Jack) of St. Louis, Missouri, 6 sisters who preceded her in death, Mary, Ora Lee, Beulah, Connie, Fannie (Rev. George Sims), Lucy (James), and 1 living sister Amanda ( lovingly called aunt Mandy) (late husband Willie) of Detroit, Michigan. Hattie was educated in the public school system as a young girl and was always seeking to enhance herself in her adult years by obtaining several Certificates of Achievement in various workshops. She had her very own boutique that she operated out of her house on Kings Highway in East St. Louis, Illinois. Hattie was known for her role as a true Diva, she was well put together and always took pride in her appearance pinning her as the aunt that many of her nieces and nephews aspired to be like. Her and her longtime love Marvin Mabins, the father of her oldest child, would often step out dressed to impress accompanied by their pet poodles who would coordinate in colors by way of dye. She would often travel with her best friend Shirley Brown, a famous blues singer, as she would tour. She was known for her loving, spicy, social butterfly spirit and she loved her family immensely. Hattie leaves behind her 2 daughters, Diane “Dee Dee” of Detroit, Michigan, LaToya “Toya” (Reggie) of Dallas Texas, and 1 son Malik “Scooter”, 5 grandchildren, Natasha “Tasha”, Nicholas, Nariah, Amar, and Armon, and 2 great-grandsons, Romeiro “Ro”, Romeirez “Rez” and countless nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She will forever be 80 as she went home to be with the Father on her 80 Birthday, and she will be forever in our hearts, we love you.
