Mr. Eddie Jones

In Loving Memory Of Mr. Eddie Jones was born on May 17, 1934 in Turrell, Mississippi to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Irene Jones. He was the seventh child born out of thirteen children. He attended public school in Arkansas at J.M. Speck Junior High School. He was voted as class president of his senior class in 1953. He also played on the basketball team as the position of point guard and was the class treasurer. In his quiet time, he enjoyed reading his Bible. He later married his dear wife, Miss Ora Mae Redmon and to this union was born six children: Eddie Mae, James Earl, Danny Ray, Clemente Nelson, and Judith Elizabeth. He loved his family and shared his love of bowling, fishing, boating, gardening, hunting, and shooting pool. His passion was talking on his many C.B. radios. His handle was 242 and Night Train!! He also cherished his grandchildren, great-grands, and great-great-grands. They could do no wrong in his eyes. Mr. Eddie Jones worked many jobs while living in Mississippi and then Arkansas. His favorite was driving the school buses and taxis. He later moved his family to Michigan in August of 1969 where he went to work for Ford Motor Company, Wayne Assembly Plant. He worked there for 29 years as the engine and brake repairman. He also had perfect attendance for many years. He also saw to it that his children would all finish school and go to work!! Preferably for Ford Motor Company. Mr. Eddie Jones was a true humanitarian. He would help anyone in need. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 26 years. In his own words, “The Lord told me in a dream to go back to church!! Which I did and I received Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior, October 2014” based on (I Corinthian 15:1-4) He was preceded from this life by his dear wife of 53 years, his oldest daughter, two granddaughters, mother and father, and several sisters and brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory: his remaining children, James, Danny, Clemente, Edward, and Judith; his ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mrs. Roline Brumfield of Champaign, Illinois (Gabby – husband), Ms. Annie Bell Wallace of Memphis, Tennessee, Ms. Louise Simmons of Siketon, Missouri; one brother, Mr. Roy Jones, Sr. of Belleville, Michigan; one dear sister-in-law, Bessie Williams (Walter) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; one brother-in-law, James Redmon of Rialto, California.
