Mr. Donnie Bernard Fair

In Loving Memory Of: Donnie Bernard Fair went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2021. He was 67 years old. Donnie was born on November 13, 1953, in Amory, Mississippi to Magruder and Elaine Fair. He was the middle child of three children. Donnie was raised by his grandmother Mama Cobbs until she was unable to care for them. Donnie and his siblings moved to Michigan in 1960 and was raised by his Aunty Nelsee after the death of his parents. Donnie graduated from River Rouge High School in 1972 and married his high school sweetheart Anglesheir Gamble and out of this union they had one son Roderick L. Fair. Donnie enlisted in the Army in 1973 and spent two years in Korea where he learned leadership, organization and how to be disciplined. After two years in the Army, he was honorably discharged. Donnie gave his life to the Lord and was baptized as a young man, and he lived his life to please God. Donnie graduated from the ministry in 1985 from Word of Faith Pistis School Ministry, where he started going into the prisons and praying for prisoners and teaching the Word of God. Donnie spent many hours studying the word and made sure his family knew the word by teaching and buying us our first Bibles. Donnie is the reason why many of us in our family gave our life to Christ. Donnie started his career as a Smart Bus driver in 2014. He loved being a bus driver and many people loved him and loved to ride his bus, where they knew they were going to hear about his first love which is (God, his family and football). Donnie loved his family and will truly be missed. Me and my father spent many moments talking about heaven, and I know without a doubt, he heard Well done my good and faithful servant. Donnie was preceded in death by his mother Elaine Fair; father Magruder Fair; grandmother, Mama Cobbs and sister Minnie Winters. Donnie is survived by his son Roderick Fair Sr.; daughter-in-law Latrece Fair; his brother Herbert Fair; sister-in-law Bridgette; aunt Nelsee; grandson Roderick Fair Jr.; granddaughter Da'ja Fair; great-granddaughter Riley Fair; grandson Mason Fair; nephews Timmy Winters, Quincy Fair, Nelson Fair; best friend and brother Dr. Kenneth Duffie; and a host of relatives and friends.
