Mrs. Theresa Cecilia Willis-Wallace

May 29, 1952 - April 24, 2022

In Loving Memory Of: Theresa Cecilia Willis-Wallace was born on May 29, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the first of six children born to Theresa Vaughn Willis and Sidney Willis (both parents preceded her in death). Theresa accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Alphonsus Liguori Rock Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Theresa graduated from St. Alphonsus Rock High School where she excelled in mathematics. In 1970, Theresa met her first love Robert Vinson. During their fifteen year relationship, three sons were born, Robert Willis, Charles Vinson and Christopher Vinson. In search of better opportunities for both their families, Theresa and her best friend Francis Alford decided to move to Detroit, Michigan. Shortly after their move, Robert joined Theresa and their sons. Robert and Theresa would later separate but remained the best of friends. One thing that remained a constant in Theresa’s life was her love for Jesus Christ and the Church. Upon arriving in Detroit, Theresa and her sons joined Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church. She insisted that her sons attend and participate in the church activities. Theresa would eventually leave our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church and join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she performed indexing for the church and remained a member in good standing until her passing. In 1995, Theresa met James Wallace, they fell in love and married in August of 1996. James would later join the Latter-Day Saints church where he and Theresa would attend services together. Theresa had many interests but was extremely skilled in sewing and crocheting. For over twenty-five years James and Theresa shared many interests together. They participated in church activities, they enjoyed shopping together, cooking, dining out, solving cross word puzzles, cryptographs and playing video games. Theresa departed this life on Sunday, March 24, 2022.
