Mr. Louis Speeks Jr.

In Loving Memory Of: Louis Speeks Jr. was born on April 4, 1944 in Dumas, Arkansas to Louis Speeks Sr. and Mattie Cowley. Louis accepted Christ in the late 70s under the leadership and fellowship of Union Grace Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon and trustee from 1979 to the late 80s. Louis attended the Dumas Public School system. Louis graduated from Reed High School in 1963. After high school Louis ventured to become a handyman of many trade. In 1966 Louis was employed with Ford Motor Company Transmission Plant for 41 years as a skilled tradesman until his retirement on January 1, 2007. He was joined in holy matrimony with Maxine Moore for 51 years. To this union three children were born (Tina Louise, Anthony and Karen). Louis' favorite hobbies were family time, reading, computer, and most of all he enjoyed building and repairing. Louis departed this life on November 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by: Louis Speeks Sr. (father); Mattie Speeks (mother); Dolly Mae Speeks (sister); Chester L. Speeks (brother); Louis Anthony Speeks (grandson), Jerline Speeks (sister-in-law). He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Maxine Speeks; daughter, Tina L. Speeks; son, Anthony Speeks; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Troy Tatum; 2 grandchildren, LeJuan Cameron and LaTena A. Speeks; 2 brothers, Bobby G. Speeks and Jerry and Verlene Speeks; 2 sisters, Ethel and Elijan Miller, Loutissia Yarbrough;and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
