In Loving Memory Of Joann was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved many things in this world but most of all she loved her family. Her children, her siblings and in-laws were her world. She ran and maintained an awesome household and did things in excellence, BUT always in her own way. Even though she was Uncle John’s baby, he still could not tell her what to do. Joann had the ability to make everyone feel like family, but she was also a wonderful friend. She often boasted that her daughters were also her friends and her daughter’s friends were her friends too. Joann supported everyone she knew with love, prayers, wisdom, and all that she had in her being. Joann also loved to travel. Her passport is something that should be viewed at the Smithsonian. She loved the water, new adventures and making fun and joyful memories. Joann was funny and very witty. She was very social with anyone who came in her household. We all loved her sense of humor and took great joy in her jokes and philosophies of life. Her personality was always on full display at the family’s annual Christmas Eve party where many traveled far and wide to enjoy the special day. Joann did many things to pass her time. She listened to music from sun up to sun down. Her love of music was shared with her son. Saturday mornings was often filled with groovy tunes that they jammed to together. Joann also enjoyed watching her TV shows and playing Words With Friends. Her competition often referred to her as “The Queen” and enjoyed playing with her immensely. We were all truly blessed by God by having her in our lives. Later in life Joann took joy in knowing that God had truly taken care of her heart, her children. She expressed to loved ones that she was happy that God provided her daughters with great husbands and her son with peace that passes all understanding. She acknowledged that God truly honored her and had given her the desires of her heart. Joann was truly a virtuous woman: her children definitely know that she was blessed. Joann was preceded in death by her loving husband Ainsworth Lancelot McCallum, siblings Beatrice (Ernesto) Reyes, Daniel (Ann) Boles, Thomas Boles and Madeline Boles. She leaves to cherish her memory John (Laura) Boles, Joyce Parker, Melvin “Dwayne”(Tammie-deceased) Reyes, Kristian (Troy) Christian, Carmen (Marc) Motley, a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
