Mr. James Frank Price
April 15, 1944 - March 8, 2022
In Loving Memory Of James Frank Price was born on April 15, 1944, in Carrollton, Mississippi. The oldest son of Frank and Dorothy Price, he attended River Rouge Public Schools. As a high school athlete, he played football, basketball and track. After graduating high school in 1962, he enlisted in the Army majoring in Medic. While in the Army, he specialized in med corpsman, receiving good conduct medals as well as sharpshooter awards. He was discharged as PVT E-1 in 1965. After service he attended Highland Park Community College where he received his Associate Degree as an RN. James was employed by the city of River Rouge as a coach and trainer as well as mentored youth throughout the community, while being employed at Northville Psychiatric Hospital as a nursing supervisor. He retired from nursing before retiring from coaching at the age of 75. Throughout his career, he received numerous certificates for the many good deeds he performed throughout his life. James F. Price was an honorable staple in the community loved by all. Preceding in death: parents, Frank and Dorothy; brothers, Herman and Frank; son, Jhyrn and granddaughter, Daitreyle. Left to cherish his memory: son, Jemari (Toyia); daughter, Zakiya; son, Richard (Sammiyyah) Walker and James; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and a host of family and extended family.
