Mr. James Arthur Crawford

In Loving Memory Of James Arthur Crawford was born December 21, 1944 in Saco, Alabama to the amazing union of Ida Berneice McGowan and Paul Crawford. He was the elder of two children born to this union. James and his parents relocated to Detroit, Michigan in the early 1950s and James received his education from the Detroit School System and graduated from Central High School in 1962. James began his career at an early age working at American Axle Manufacturing. James was drafted into the U.S. Army and served the country and was honorably discharged. He was able to continue his career at American Axle Manufacturing which we worked 40+ years until his retirement. James loved to dress and he also loved his cars. James enjoyed watching basketball and boxing. James loved his family, especially his favorite great-niece Sa'Niyrah who brought so much joy and happiness to his life. He enjoyed picking her up from school every day, he really looked forward to that and everything else going on had to be worked around him picking her up. Not only did he picked her up but he also made sure she had something to eat and drink when she got in the car lol! James made sure his family was well taken care of and he will truly be missed. James was called home on February 9, 2022 in the comfort of his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ida Berneice Crawford. James leaves to cherish his memories: A Devoted and Loving (Sister) Melody Crawford; two devoted and loving (Nieces) Jasmyne Harvey and Makayla Hill; two (Great-Nieces) Sa'Niyrah and Skylar O'Larry; A Very Special Loving Friend: Rose Ethridge; Special Loving Cousins: Annie Love Harris, Geneva Crawford, Joan C. Price and Alfred Crawford, a lifetime long best friend Sylvester Marshall and several loving family members and friends.
