Ms. Jacqueline Michelle Barnett Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

In Loving Memory Of: Jacqueline Michelle Barnett affectionately known as "Jackie" was born on December 13, 1953 to the late George Finley Brooks and Dorothy Louise Brooks-Brown in Detroit, Michigan. Jacqueline attended Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Michigan where she met, and was wedded in holy matrimony to the late Willie James Barnett Jr. (Bill) on December 22, 1971. Jackie accomplished the task of returning to Mackenzie, and earned her Diploma in 1995. She went on to complete, and received Certification for Medical Assistant in 2008. Jackie eventually met her true love, the late Eddie Lee Hines (Buster) with whom she spent many, many loving years with until his passing in 2014. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." Jackie was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured all her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as "Gee" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. Jacqueline was predeceased in death by: brother, Eric Orlando Brooks; sister, Gail Denise Brooks and niece, Reinera Brooks.
