Mr. Eddie Leon Elsberry

December 26, 1950 - April 19, 2022

In Loving Memory Of: Eddie Leon Elsberry was born on December 26, 1950 in Montgomery, Alabama to Dorothy Lee Elsberry and Jack Smith. Eddie was the oldest of nine siblings. He received his education in the Montgomery School System and got a trade which led him to land his career in custodial maintenance, employed by Security Bank & Trust that he ended up retiring from. Eddie accepted the Lord in his life at an early age. He was rooted in the Church Of God In Christ and as a result he became an ordained Deacon. Eddie took joy in being a Sunday School teacher, YPWW teacher, singing, leading the choir, playing the guitar, and the conga and bongo drums. He helped to build and support many churches and ministries. Eddie believed that holiness was the only way to live. He believed in doing things right, as he always stated "when you do right, right will follow you." He was a stand up man and told you straight up "the real." On September 21, 1991 Eddie entered into holy matrimony with Katherine Roberson resulting in 26 years of marriage. Together they had four wonderful children. He loved his children and held them close to his heart. Always putting them before himself, unconditional love is what he gave. Eddie departed this life on April 19, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.
