Mrs. Carolyn Bernice Ware Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

In Loving Memory Of Carolyn was the second child of five girls born to Henry and Bernice Allen on Feb. 10 1944. She was affectionately known as “Teddy” because she would constantly carry a teddy bear around. She was a beautiful but colicky baby. Small accidents were part of her childhood. She fell just walking to the pencil sharpener in school and broke her leg. Another time, an envious classmate set her pig tails on fire. Her older sister (Janette) used snow to extinguish it and then gave the girl a good grade school beating. Then she told Teddy to use anything as a weapon in the future. But Teddy just threatened to get her big sister. Teddy practiced making mud meals as a child and made delicious real meals as an adult. She always kept a supply of Pepsi’s and Twix bars. Carolyn attended Carver and Grant grade schools in Ferndale and graduated from Mumford High School in Detroit. She was a pretty little bride in the Tom Thumb wedding in kindergarten and a beautiful one at Berean Chapel as a young woman. She loved her nickname. In 1965 she married Raymond Ware and from this union was born her oldest son Tyrone Ware. She divorced Raymond 3 years later and met Alan Ladd. From this relationship was born her second oldest son Sean Keith Ladd. In 1978 she met Curtis Dunn and from this relationship was born Briana Tene Dunn her youngest child. She doted on her children and loved them as only a mother could. She raised them well and was proud of the adults they had become. Teddy was a great cook and her specialty was dressing. Her home would be filled to overflowing during the holidays as her family would gather around and enjoy each other and her cooking. We know she will be making dressing for the angels in heaven now. We hope her niece Donyale got her recipe. Teddy was a sweet, kind, and loving woman who had several friends. Her girls were Chelo Humphrey, Judy Wimberley, and Kay Thompson. They were always there for each other and were close friends spanning a 40-year period. Teddy had a sweet spirit and enjoyed spending some of her last year’s serving the Lord at El Bethel Baptist Church. To know her was to love her. She will be sorely missed! She is survived by Tyrone Ware, (Jenaya Ware), Jasmine Ware, (granddaughter) Domonique Beal (granddaughter) (Gemond Beal) Andrea Guyton (granddaughter), Kalen Harrison (great grandson) Sean Ladd (LaTanja Ladd), Sean Ladd II, (grandson), Hardison Ladd, (grandson), Brinston Ladd, (grandson) Jerusalem Ladd (granddaughter). Briana Dunn, Pamela Walker, Briauna Walker, (granddaughter) Briayle Walker, (granddaughter) Kassedi Walker (granddaughter). Sisters Janet Hill and Linda Dozier. Lorraine Davis and Kathy Cater both whom preceded her in death. Her parents Henry and Bernice Allen who also preceded her in death. Not to mention a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
