Mr. Yarden Tarek Proctor

Yarden Tarek Proctor was born in Highland Park, MI on April 22, 1965 to Dorothy Danner Proctor and Jordan Reese Proctor. Yarden was the eldest of his siblings and was educated in the Detroit Public School System, graduating from Henry Ford High School. Yarden attended the College of Creative Studies located in Detroit, MI majoring in film and animation design. He was an exceptional student that excelled in the Arts, especially portraits and paintings. He received many awards for his paintings. Yarden was a fun loving, easy going guy who enjoyed spending time with family, gatherings, and birthdays. He also was fond of attending car shows, swimming when he was younger, movies, hanging with his best friend and brother Derek, and all the family dogs Kueen, Storm and Kola. In 1986 Yarden met and married Sandra Stanton, whom he loved dearly, she also preceded him in death. To this union three children were born, Yarden Jr, Sierra, and Shiquita. His goal as a father was to have a close relationship with his children and grandchildren whom were very dear to him. Yarden served four years in the United States Armed Forces, at Fort Stewart’s Abrams Tank Arsenal in Hinesville, GA where he served as Tank System Mechanic. After his duty as a serviceman he earned his certification as an EMS Technician in the State of Alabama. He was also employed at Howard Terns Manufacturing Company in Belleville, MI. Yarden confessed to Christ later in life and enjoyed his spiritual connec-tion. He was baptized at The Word of Profit Church in Detroit, MI under the leadership of Bishop Donald Kirkland, who also preceded him in death. Yarden departed this life on March 29, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memories, his Dad, “IZO-EL”, loving mother, Dorothy Danner Proctor, who also was his confidante and friend, and father, Jordan Proctor, Sr. (Valerie), his son, Yarden, Jr., two daughters, Sierra and Shiquita, four grand-children, Christopher, Tierra, David, and Taraji, brothers, Derek Proctor, Erik and Curtis Washington, Jeremy Patton, sisters, Kamira Lynne and Trina Abner, and siblings, Jordan, III (Robin), James (Kalene), John, Peter (Massiel), Moses, Mark, Phillip, Yvette Bell (Antione), Raymell Bellinger (Anthony), Crystal Proctor all of Metro De-troit, MI. Special nieces Krista and Kalyse Abner-Bennett. Aunts, Rosa Holcomb, Florine Epps, Margie Williams, Gail Proctor, Robie Jennings (Delbert), Pamela Hicks (James), all of Detroit, MI, Annie Perdue of North Wales, PA, and Early Curry (Earl) of Birmingham, AL, Uncles, Robert Danner (Ina) of Montgomery, AL, and Ronald Proctor of Detroit, MI and a host of, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
