Sunrise: 01/22/1964- Sunset 03/11/2022 ✓ Obituary Tina Bailey was a caring Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. She departed from this life on March 11, 2022 lovingly surrounded by her Mother, Daughter and Sister. Tina leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her Family and Friends who were always entertained by her stories and hilarious sense of humor. She truly brought the life to the party. Tina Bailey was born to the late Coleman Mack Bailey and Ivonne Bailey on January 22, 1964 in Detroit, MI. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Greater Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Tina attended and was educated in the Detroit Public Schools and later became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Tina was adventurous. She obtained a CDL and operated an 18 Wheeler for a short time. But her true passion was caring for others in the health care field. Her natural gift was always serving people which was exemplified through mentoring and playing a vital role to many nurses, sharing her wisdom and experience that she gained over the years. Tina was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her Daughter and embraced the moments with her. She especially loved her role as Grandmother. Tina dedicated countless hours with her Grandchildren and taught them how to read and write and most importantly helped them with their homework while her Daughter worked. Tina spent many summers with her family hanging out in the privacy of her Mother’s home; grilling outback catching a breeze and sharing recipes while the twins rode up and down the driveway on their powered wheel trucks. Tina enjoyed the time spent with her family and would often crack jokes with her sister Denise. In her spare time She enjoyed listening to all genre of music from Whitney Houston to Lil Baby. But, her favorite songwriter was Kem. If she played songs on her phone or tablet; Kem was Heavy in rotation. She would often travel downtown with her best friend just to sit in front of the Detroit River and listen to live bands. This was a place where she could get away to reflect and reset. Tina had a vivacious personality and an amazing sense of humor along with a beautiful laugh. Her wit was razor sharp and was known to say the most shocking things she could think of. She made her entire family laugh with her outrageous and exaggerated facial expressions and often will come up with outlandish nicknames for her loved ones. Tina will be missed tremendously. Tina Bailey is survived by her Mother: Ivonne Bailey, Daughter: Terria Bailey-Trawick (Marvin Trawick), 2 Sisters: Denise & Zenida Bailey, Brother: Coleman Dwon Bailey and 4 grandchildren: Marvin II, Collin, Cameron and Madison Trawick. She was preceded in death by her Father, Coleman Mack Bailey. A Fallen Limb A message to my family & Friends. A limb has fallen from the Family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the gatherings and the good life I lived while I was strong…I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease and my soul is at rest. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I will miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin until the day we’re together again. A smile that brightened up my day and brought me so much joy. When you were in the hospital you looked at me and said “Mom, I love you. Let me go?” As much as it hurt to hear those words, I said, I love you too. I know you were tired but now you are at peace and there’s no more pain.. Rest well my dear Child. You are forever in my heart. Love Always, Mom Mom, I going to miss your voice; especially the words “Pooh Pooh!” that fills the entire room. I wish I had more time with you. But, I’m at peace knowing that you are no longer suffering. I promise to carry your smile and big personality. Some say I act like you so that won’t be hard to do. You were my biggest supporter and always laughed at my goofy jokes and I mean you would be cracking up too! Mom, you were the best support system that any daughter could hope for. Our family chain is broken and nothing is the same. But, as god call us one by one we will link again. I love you, Terria Dear Sister, My heart is broken, and I am so lost. I prayed and prayed that you would get better and go home to sleep in your own bed and watch your own TV and Facetime me from the next room. I had no intention of leaving your side until I knew you were strong enough. But God had another plan. He knew it was time for you to rest. As much as it hurts, I find a little comfort in knowing that you were at peace with it. I am truly going to miss you calling me Haggetha and me calling you Tabitha. Until we meet again my Dear Big Sister, my 11-day Twin - rest in Heavenly Peace and give Dad a big ole hug for me.
