Miss Taylor Latrelle Gladney

In Loving Memory Of Taylor Latrelle Gladney was born on February 6, 2007 at Providence Hospital to LaCretia McCullough and Tyrell Gladney Sr. She was their only child together and the second eldest out of five siblings. Taylor’s journey began as a small premature bundle of joy that had been faced with many big challenges as soon as she entered this world. Being strong and fearless helped her quickly blossom into a fun, loving, outspoken, caring, and creative young lady. Facing her fight daily as a sickle cell warrior made her sweet but fierce. She was always the life of the party, and her presence was always known. Taylor believed in Jesus Christ and accepted the Lord and Savior at an early age. She began her educational life at DACEP Elementary and later moved on to Starr Detroit Academy. She continued her studies at University Preparatory Academy (UPREP) where she was an honor roll student and a member of the upcoming graduating class of 2025. Taylor loved her teachers and peers at UPREP and they loved her just as much. She was an amazing cheerleader at UPREP and affectionately known as the “Mama of the group”. She exemplified so many leadership characteristics on and off the mat. Taylor’s favorite pasttime was babysitting and being an amazing cheerleader. She began the cheer world within the Detroit Pal Youth Program on teams such as the “Detroit Tigers” and “Detroit Spartans”, then ending with the “UPREP Panthers”, whom she loved dearly. Taylor showed an amazing dedication to building a lifetime of friendships with her cheer sisters. She was destined to learn anything fashionable. She took a class to teach her how to do eyelashes, she knew how to crochet, and it was nothing for her to color and style her own hair. Although Taylor had an active social life. She made work a priority at Airtime and then later at Launch Family Entertainment in Dearborn, Michigan where she loved her work family but mostly loved assisting the kids with having a great time. You would always find Taylor smiling, enjoying herself, asking for a hug, rub down or just a good cuddle. You could also expect to hear Taylor say “Period’ or Hey girl hey”. On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, after a short length life on this earth, Taylor took residence in God’s Kingdom and joined her maternal Grandmother, Pamela McCullough and Aunt Barbara, whom both preceded her in death. Taylor leaves to cherish her parents: LaCretia McCullough and Tyrell Gladney Sr., two brothers: Tyrell Jr. and Kyrell, three sisters: Mariah, Kynsley and Carley, two Grandfathers: Robert Dickerson and Walter McCullough, her paternal Grandmother: Army Jene Gladney, Aunts: Twyla Moss (William), Charolette James, Dawn Dickerson and Gail Reid, Uncles: Marcelous Lucas, Robert Dickerson, Michael Dickerson, and Preston Rivers, Nieces: Chloe, Cai’leigh, Treasure and Christian, Nephews: Tramell, Trenton, Tristen,Tyriek and a host of great-aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
