Celebrating The Life Of Renee Dorsey: Let me, or rather I should say “us” tell you a true story about an “exceptional” young lady, more so...REMARKABLE! A daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, and she loved us dearly in her own “special” way. Tough Love was truly her way and we had to RESPECT IT!!! Reneé Dorsey was the second oldest of four children. The second daughter of Dorothy May Dorsey and William F. Dorsey who preceded Reneé in death. As well as our oldest sister, Carollees Dorsey who also preceded her in death. Reneé was a graduate of Cass Technical High School (D.P.S.) and after graduation, went directly to the United States Postal Service. Reneé faithfully served the United States Government, for a total of 37 ½ years of STELLAR service! And after retirement, she went on to do some other interesting things such as; planning events, decorating of course, seeing about our mother to the VERY end of “her” life. And...she saw about “us”, her family. She never missed anything that was important to us, we will always LOVE YOU! A believer in Christ Jesus...she always knew that we will meet again if “we” keep our eyes on the prize, our “Lord and Savior” Jesus Christ. You know...it’s so much, much more I can say, however...Reneé leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: one sister, Michelle Dorsey Whitlow; one brother, Byron J. Dorsey Sr.; two nieces, Kim Dorsey and Monique Dorsey; three nephews, Anthony Dorsey Sr., D’Ante Whitlow and Byron Dorsey Jr. ; two great-nieces, Kadiesha Sims and Charniece Marie; four great-nephews, Marvell Dorsey, Ron Fleming, Ky Moni Dorsey and Anthony Dorsey Jr.; four great-great-nieces, Taylor, Torrie, Trinity and Treasure; two great-great-nephews, Christopher and Onyxx; and a host of more relatives and friends. Reneé was our family’s “ANCHOR.” If she feared something, we never knew it because of her STOIC persona. A force to be reckoned with, you couldn’t pull the wool over her eyes because she was always watching. Until “we” meet again...Nay-Nay, keep watching over “us.” We will never forget how you loved us...and we will always love you too!!!
