Ms. Regina Annette Cain

On January 4, 1966, Regina was born to the union of Lola and her now late father Clirte. Regina attended the Highland Park School system graduating in 1982. Regina accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was Baptized at the Healing Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Highland Park under the leadership of the late J.L. Franklin and continued her walk with Christ at The Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit under the leadership of the late V.D. Scotts where her grandmother was also a member. After the passing away of her grandmother she continued her walk with Christ. Under the leadership of Pastor Carl J. Curry in Monroe, Michigan at The Second Missionary Baptist Church in 1993, and continued under Pastor Curry’s leadership in 2004 at The New Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church where she supported him and the Ministry at New Mt. Olive Church. She was determined that her grandchildren were dedicated back to God and wouldn't let up until Pastor Curry set the date and the dedication happened. She met and married Christopher Cain and then on April 24, 1985, Brandon Cain was born. Regina began her passion for working with those in need consisting of elders, mental patients, etc. This passion drove her to work in this field over a span of 30 years until she became ill. She then met and married the late Glen Hunter whom she had a child with on February 26, 1991. Who they named Glen Hunter, but as Regina would call him, her “Lil Scoota Boo”. Regina was a very family-oriented woman. She loved family gatherings and would always be the life of the party. She loved to cook, was very outspoken, and had a great sense of humor. She loved to tell stories. Regina would cuss you out one minute and be ready to pray for you the next. Later in life, Regina found everlasting happiness when she met Melvin O’Neal whom she described as her life partner until the day, he left this earth. She loved and cared for him. The two of them were a great couple and had undeniable chemistry. He always knew how to put a smile on her face. Regina leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Lola Lamar, two sons Brandon Cain and Glen Hunter, two sisters Lisa Ferguson and Serlena Walker (Renwick Walker), brother Richard Lamar; five grandkids Jordan, Zariya, Gabrielle, G’honni, and Jayda; eight nieces, Anita, Briana (Randy), Brittany, Brandi Audrena, Angel, Ashante, and Tierra; her nephew Richard, Jr., Aunt Lanora Williams, Uncle Russell Williams, two cousins Tanisha Williams and Christopher Jones, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
