Mrs. Patricia Ann Walker

In Loving Memory Of: Patricia Ann Walker, affectionately known as Pat, was born in Detroit, MI on September 20, 1939 to the union of Tallie Baldwin Sr. and Mary Jolly Baldwin. Pat was the youngest of four children born to this union. Pat was educated in the Detroit Public Schools system where she graduated from Northeastern High School in 1957. She later attended college and received her Associate Degree in Business from Shaw College. Her educational experiences, excellent work ethics, and organizational skills led her to dedicate over decades years of service to the City of Detroit and Kelly Services where she would later retire in 1998. Pat was baptized and dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. In her younger years Pat enjoyed ice skating, roller skating, and winnings at the casino. If “enjoyed life” was a person, it would surely be Pat. Pat enjoyed traveling and was always on the go. Whenever you talked to her, you would learn she was headed on another cruise or had taken another trip with her traveling buddy/niece the late Mary Alice Jones. They would often travel to Niagara Falls, take cruises and explore the world together. Pat loved capturing memories and collecting souvenirs from all her trips and gifting them to her family. Pat was actively involved and took trips with St. Patrick and the Civic Park Senior Centers and loved participating in some of her favorite activities like sudoku, seek and find puzzles, and learning and teaching the latest dance hustles. Pat also enjoyed sewing. She used her gifts and talents as a seamstress to bless family, friends and even strangers with making customary garments and blankets. Pat often used her gifts and talents as a seamstress for charity. Most recently during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Pat volunteered her time at Jo Ann Fabrics and made masks for those in need. Pat was beloved by her family and close friends. She had a smile and a laugh so infectious it could brighten up any room. Pat was the matriarch of her family and valued spending time with them. She looked forward to attending family reunions and capturing fond memories. To know Pat was to love her, she was always that voice of reasoning and you appreciated her straight forwardness. Most of all Pat loved and adored spending time and creating special memories with her great-granddaughter Kaysha-lynn who brought pure joy during her retirement years of life. On March 18, 2021 Pat went on to enjoy eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
