Mrs. Meatta Anita Berry

Never The Same Girl Twice: Today we celebrate the life of a very special person, Meatta Anita Berry. She was beautiful and so full of energy. Her personality was electric and her talent and creativity were out of this world. Meatta was born on February 6, 1976 in Detroit, MI into a family with a strong foundation built in Christ. Meatta accepted Christ at an early age and was raised under the leadership of Bishop William Lee Bonner of Solomon’s Temple Church. She then transferred her membership to True Worship Church under the leadership of Elder Lovell Cannon, Jr. and also became a member of Restore Church under the guidance of Pastors Mike Hannifee and Clete Bontrager. She was a dedicated member and follower of Christ until her untimely death. Meatta received her education in Detroit Public Schools where she was an accomplished athlete in track and field. Meatta’s desire to impart her originality and individuality into the world of cosmetology and fashion led her to pursue and enhance her talents at David Pressley School of Cosmetology. She had an array of gifts. Her talents span across the branches of specialty including hairstyling, cosmetics and platform artistry. Meatta was revered beyond the craft of beauty treatment. She was ingenious in her skill set. There was a freshness in her gift; hence she fashioned and trademarked NEVER THE SAME GIRL TWICE©. Meatta spent 16 years of her career at Megan Mitchell Salon. Her extensive experience in beatification led her to become the featured stylist at Women’s Hair Closet in Royal Oak, MI. Her work was featured in multiple well known fashion editorials such as Haute Is, BLAC, HOUR Magazine and more. Meatta’s greatest work was the splendored miracle of her love as a wife and mother. On February 11, 1999, God’s inseparable bond was created between Meatta and Renard. Most people never experience the type of love that was shared between the two; the type of love that builds a home, creates a family and always sees the best in each other; the type of love that can inspire a generation; the type of love that reminds us ALL that God IS love. That is the example of the love Meatta and Renard shared. A supreme illustration of this love was the rearing of their five amazing children, Juvon, Jazmane, Renard Jr., Reigna and Tristan. To be blessed with one child is truly amazing but to be chose by five of the most beautiful spirits is a miracle and is the best blessing anyone could hope for. Meatta’s devotion to motherhood was beyond compare. She gave of herself unselfishly, with delight and gratitude. Her love has no ending. On March 25, 2015, Meatta made her transition to be with Our Lord.
