Ms. Leverselle Cox

Leverselle Cox was born on January 11, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of Booker T. and Marie Cox. Leverselle accepted Christ at an early age. She had a thirst for knowledge, graduating from Cass Technical High School, and later in life, deciding to pursue her Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. Throughout her distinguished career spanning many years, Leverselle held various employment positions. However, she excelled as a tax accountant, where her precision, diligence, and intelligence were unmatched. Her true calling, however, lay in nurturing young minds as a childcare provider after retiring in 2006. In this role, she left an indelible mark, shaping the lives of countless children with her warmth, wisdom, and boundless generosity. Leverselle leaves behind a daughter, Chantal Cox, who was the center of her world and the source of her greatest joy. Their bond was a testament to the depth of Leverselle's love and the strength of her character. In her leisure moments, Leverselle found solace in life's simple pleasures. Whether she was engaged in a friendly game of cards with loved ones, swaying to the melodies of music, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, her presence brought warmth, laughter, and joy to all around her. Though Leverselle may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of those she touched. Leverselle radiated boundless love and generosity. She was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, offering unwavering support, guidance, and solace to those around her. Her kindness knew no bounds, leaving a profound impact on countless lives and fostering a legacy of compassion and goodwill. Leverselle also possessed a delightful sense of humor that could brighten the darkest of days. Her infectious laughter and quick wit brought joy to all who had the pleasure of sharing her company. Leverselle departed this life on February 10, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Booker T. Cox and Marie Cox. Leverselle leaves to cherish her memories: Chantal L. Cox, Michael (Pamela) Cox, Paulette Cox, Patricia (Thomas) Madison, Sonya Cox, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. May she find eternal peace, knowing that her legacy of love, compassion, and laughter will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
