Ms. LaTonya Michele McGee-Davis

In Loving Memory Of LaTonya Michele McGee-Davis was born on May 8, 1979 in Tifton, Georgia, the baby daughter of the late Dora Jean McGee and Sanders McGee, Jr. LaTonya attended the Detroit Public Schools and Clintondale Schools system. She also attended WCCCD for sign language courses. She was a devoted woman of faith, she accepted Christ at an early age. Establishing her membership at the Glorious Church of God Apostolic, Detroit, Michigan under the pastoralship of Bishop S.S. Magee. After the death of her grandfather, she attended Deliverance Center Outreach Ministries under the pastoralship of Bishop Gregg A. Booker. Ms. LaTonya became a mother on December 7, 1997. A baby girl was born, Jimmonica Michele McGee. She married Lamar Davis in August 2001. She gave birth to two sons Keimarriell and Johnathan McGee. Johnathan preceded her in death. She enjoyed being a mother to her children. She enjoyed family gatherings and her favorite place to go to was the Boom Boom Room to play bid whist and spades with her friends. She was known as “Ms. Chocolate” to all her friends. She especially loved taking care of her love bug Jemmariell McGee, who was her ride or die and partner in crime. She also loved being with Auntie Bobbie and her cousin Angel Magee. Ms. LaTonya Michele McGee-David died peacefully on June 21, 2024 at 1:30 A.M. at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI after battling with severe sarcoidosis. She was preceded in death by her mother Dora Jean McGee; her son Johnathan McGee; her grandparents Pastor Dorothy and Luther Davis of Auburn, Georgia and Bishop S.S and Lady Mae Helen Magee of Detroit, Michigan. LaTonya leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter Jimmonica McGee of Detroit, MI; one son Keimarriell McGee of Detroit, MI; father Sander McGee, Jr. (Diane) of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers Fernando Prather (Erica) of Tifton, GA and Tyrone McGee of Detroit, MI; sister CaSandrs McGee (R.J.) of Detroit, MI; five nieces Zaleenza Cunningham (John), Sandria McGee, Amber Edwards, Jada Edwards all of Detroit, MI, Chloe Prather of Tifton, GA; one nephew James McGee of Detroit, MI; two great-nieces Savanna McGee and Serenity Cunningham of Detroit, MI; one great-nephew Lovell, Jr. (LJ) of Detroit, MI; godsisters Robin (Baby Doll) of Minneapolis, MN, Spring Hardy (Michael), Melody Magee of Warren, MI, April Magee of Detroit, MI; godbrother Robert Magee, Jr. of West Bloomfield, MI; special brother Dominic Wilson of West Bloomfield, MI; special auntie Aunt Bobbie of Warren, MI; and a host of family and friends.
