Mrs. Juanita Donloe

Celebrating The Life Of Juanita Donloe: Juanita Donloe was born June 3, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Johnson and Ethel Carey, who both preceded her in death. Juanita made her transition on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014. Juanita received her education in public schools in Detroit, where she graduated Cum Laude from Chadsey High School. She also attended Elsa Cooper School for court reporting. Juanita met her husband, Freeman, who preceded her in death, at Chadsey High School. The two fell in love and were married June 9, 1956. Their union produced three children: Sheryl, Darlene and Freeman Jr. She was a constant and positive reinforcement for everything her children accomplished. She found great joy in making her children and grandchildren happy. Juanita began her working career with National Bank of Detroit. She also worked for the Chrysler Corporation and Recorder's Court before returning to Chrysler where she worked until her retirement in the early 1990s. As a young child Juanita professed her love for the Lord and became a born again Christian. She was a devoted servant and member of Unity Baptist Church where she worked with the Outreach Ministry, the 50th Plus Marriage Ministry and the Scholarship Committee, serving at one time as the vice president. She also loved and looked forward to attending her Sunday School class. After moving to Southfield, MI in 1977, Juanita continued her reign as a social butterfly. She had the ability to walk into a room and know everyone by name by the time she left. She became involved in local politics and became active in her community, often feeding the homeless during the holidays. She was involved in several civic organizations including the Roseland Woods Civic Association, the Southfield Democratic Club and the Martin Luther King Task Force. Always the life of the party Juanita, who had a dynamic personality, was a friendly and outgoing woman who loved being active and involved. She loved to bowl, play cards, go to the gym, travel and entertain guests in her home. Juanita celebrated life and loved people. She was determined to do some good during her time on earth. She was a glowing example of how to live life through a commitment to professional and personal excellence. She touched the world in a positive light in many ways, leaving a legacy of joy, class and love.
