Mr. Gregory Thomas

In Loving Memory Of Gregory Thomas, lovingly known as “Greg,” was born on July 30, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to his devoted parents Clemmie and Eula Thomas. He accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Sylvester Harris. Greg later joined the New St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Tolan Morgan. Greg attended the Detroit Public School System. In his senior year of high school, he began a long and dedicated career with American Axle. After years of hard work and perseverance, he retired and transitioned into entrepreneurship. Over the years, Greg successfully owned and managed several nightclubs and eventually established a career in real estate. Greg was known for his great sense of humor and his ability to bring laughter to those around him. He cherished spending time with his family, enjoyed fishing, and had a passion for cooking. Throughout his life, Greg formed deep and meaningful relationships. He married Cythia, and to this union, LaShawn was born. LaShawn was the beginning of “Greg’s tribe.” Later, Greg met and cherished relationships with others, including the mothers of his children: Althea (Valencia), Claudia (Gregory), Rose (Charnita and David), Darlene (Carlos) and Stephanie (Orbri). Our poppa was definitely a rolling stone. Lol. He later met and married Cyntonia. On Monday, December 16, 2024, at 6:36 a.m., our beloved father, granddad, brother and friend, departed this life. He was preceded in death by his parents Clemmie and Eula Thomas, brothers Willie and Wilbert Thomas, and grandson JaQari Miles. He leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a family that spans generations. He is survived by his children: LaShawn (Vincent), Valencia, Gregory, Charnita, Carlos, David, and Orbri; his grandchildren: Kenyetta (Jordan), Anthony, Shawntrece, Kyra, Asia, Addonis, Justin, Cori, Courtni, Jordan, Jaylan, Dontez, Devon, Khalil, Carlos, De’Cari, Ka’ Lori, Kairo, Azani, and Serenity; his great-grandchildren: Serenity, Layla, Anthony Jr., Amaura, Ca’ Myla, and Jakoby; and his siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Greg will forever be remembered for his warm heart, vibrant personality, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
