In Loving Memory Of The will of our Lord and Savior was fulfilled in the lives of Myron and Cassandra May when Diondria Lynise May was born on August 14, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan. Diondria was affectionately known as “Dee” and was truly a daddy’s girl through and through. Diondria was introduced to her heavenly father at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was baptized at Souls for Christ Deliverance Center under the leadership of Pastor William and Evangelist Sandra Bell. Diondria was educated in the Detroit Public School system during her formative years attending Birney Elementary and Taft Middle schools where she excelled academically. Her love for music and playing the clarinet blossomed into her becoming 1st chair in the school band. Diondria went on to attended St. Benedictine High School and played on the girls basketball team. She graduated with honors in the summer of June 1992. In that same year Diondria was crowned Debutante Queen where she was able to showcase her talent and love for playing the clarinet. Diondria continued her educational studies attending Ferris State University, Davenport University and Wayne County Community College District, where she obtained her Associates of Science degree. Diondria was blessed to mother two beautiful children Jonathan May and Myrrah May. She loved them with all her heart. Diondria’s two “heartbeats” brought her immense joy and they truly meant the world to her. Diondria loved to laugh, party and have a good time with her family “FAM” as she would affectionately call them and her friends alike. Diondria had a love for helping others and worked in healthcare for over twenty years. She was currently employed at Second Chance Living Supportive Services (SCL) as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She cared for individuals with mental health and developmental diagnosis. Diondria loved to care for people. It was truly her passion and calling from God. Diondria heard her name called from heaven on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in the comfort of her home and she answered. Diondria made her transition receiving eternal life in a place where there is no more pain, tears or heartache. Diondria was preceded in death by her adoring father Myron May; loving grandparents, Alma Miller, Ralph Miller Mildred May and Sam Anderson May; two aunts Denise Miller-Grandberrry and Beverly Miller, four uncles Ralph Miller, Derrick Miller, Dwanye Miller and Gregory Miller and her godmother Celestina Perkins. Diondria Lynise May, a loving mother leaves the memory of her image and her voice of love to be cherished and remembered forever in the hearts of her two adoring children Jonathan May and Myrrah May; her devoted, loving and supportive mother Cassandra May; her big brother Perri May; one half-sister Carlotta “Fredericka” Sammons; two aunts Frances Gaines and Thelma May; one god-brother Johnny Perkins and one godsister Consuelo Perkins and a host of cousins and countless friends who’s lives she touched in a million ways.
