Ms. Diamond Briana Williams

Diamond Briana Williams was born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 19, 1995, to Andre Williams and Nancy Sanford. Diamond accepted Christ when she was three years old and was baptized at Bethlehem Temple in 1998. A proud Cody Medicine & Community Health Academy School graduate in Detroit, Michigan. Diamond spent her early years at Parkman Elementary and Mae C. Jemison Academy. She went on to further her education, attending HBCU Wilberforce University “The Wu” in Ohio, and ultimately received a Business Management degree from Houston Community College. Diamond passed her final exam to become a licensed realtor on February 7, 2024. She built a career in the hospitality industry, working her way up to General Manager, overseeing Extended Stay America properties. Her team highly respected her; she was known for being very personable and a great leader. Diamond was firm but fair, having no problem ‘cracking the whip’ when needed, even going so far as to use Google Translate to get her point across with her non-English speaking team. Diamond will be remembered for her fun, vibrant personality, and loving spirit. She never met a stranger and could converse with anyone, no matter the circumstance. Diamond was very friendly and able to blend in with most crowds. She was so likable that the “Frat house” welcomed her with open arms in college. Diamond knew how to enjoy life. She was fond of traveling and loved cars, which is safe to say she got from her dad. Diamond had a passion for styling, which she acquired in her early years. In college, she would regularly spend time on the side doing hair, nails, and makeup for her classmates. Diamond could cut the best “Bob” hairstyle! Diamond was an excellent mother. Her son, Drew, meant the world to her, and she poured her all into making sure he was loved and cared for. Diamond’s memory and legacy will live on through him. Diamond entered her final resting place on Monday, February 12, 2024. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Emily and Lewis Jackson, fraternal-great grandparents, Paul and Marilyn Williams, uncle Andre Sanford Jr., and great Aunt Jessie. Diamond leaves to cherish her precious and loving memory: her son Drew Jackson; mother Nancy Sanford-Pruitt; father Andre Williams; brother Stephen Pruitt, Jr.; grandparents Barbara Williams, Deborah (Sean) Jones, Paul (Dianne) Williams, Andre Sanford Sr.; bonus Dad Big Steve and uncles Paul ‘Ant’ Williams, Jerome Williams Jr., Brandon Williams; aunt Kim Sanford; a special aunt Melanie Sims; her confidant Tiffany Young, work family and a host of loving relatives and close friends who she strongly considered and recognized as family. May she rest in eternal peace.
