Mr. Devarian O'Neal

In Loving Memory Of; DeVarian LeMarr O’Neal, affectionately known as ‘Varri,’ son of Delisa O’Neal and Joseph Kinney was born on September 29, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Detroit Public Schools and was a graduate of First Colonial High School (2005) in Virginia Beach, VA. He obtained a CNC Machinist Certification at Guilford Technical Community College (2013) and a Technical Degree in Information Technology at Focus Hope (2019). At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and became an online partner of Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. Varri was a Service Desk Technician, who was deeply involved in the success of his department, exceeding expectations and considered to be a top performer. He enjoyed living life without limits. His loving spirit was contagious and commanded the attention of all his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his humble manners, silly jokes, expert gaming skills, playing pool and very passionate about the game of basketball. Varri’s hobbies included drawing, singing, writing and grilling the best steaks on this side of heaven and if you were in the mood for seafood, his shrimp and crab salad was to die for. He was a man of valor with many gifts, hobbies and talents, however playing video games was his favorite pastime. You could always find ‘Scrappy Dee’ up in the middle of the night defeating his opponents in NBA2K and Grand Theft Auto 5. And if he wasn’t doing that, he was catching up on the latest episodes of Dragon Ball Z and his favorite character was Vegeta. He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life Victoria N. O’Neal in September of 2017. He was a loving husband who worked hard to provide a great life for his family. Varri and Victoria’s marriage was the true definition of love, holding the vows they made to one another near and dear to their hearts. Varri was truly a wonderful person. His family will always remember him as the bold protector who always looked to unify everyone he loved. He would always say that he is “God’s Son” and he lived up to the name as he was a humble servant. Varri departed his life on February 7, 2020.
