Mr. Darryl Houston McKinley

In Loving Memory Of Deacon Darryl Houston McKinley was born May 3, 1960 to the union of William and Katherine McKinley in Hamtramck, MI. He Graduated from Western International High School and later joined the Navy in October 1982 where he served as a Gunner’s Mate. He became a member of Victory In Christ Ministries in 2000 where he strived to bring others along with him. His final transition was on March 5, 2025 at Sinai Grace Hospital. Darryl started his career path working at Focus Hope as an industrial buyer. He later had a passion to work with his hands and began working at Scott Tires as a Tire Technician for numerous years. He transferred to working at Scott Sales where he became a Tire Technician Specialist. Darryl knew his tires inside and out and was on his way to having his own shop! Darryl loved to sing, dance, play baseball, and was a Detroit Lions fan through and through. He was family oriented, loved helping people, and a man of God. Faith, Family, and Football was what he was all about. He gave his life to Christ and not only spoke about Christ but strived to walk the walk. Darryl will reunite and rejoice in Paradise with his father, William McKinley, mother Katherine McKinley, Mother In Law Catherine Whaley sisters Carolyn Weems and Deborah McKinley, his brothers (having a temptation dancing good time) William “Billy” McKinley, Timothy “Tim” McKinley, Keith “Skip” McKinley, Craig McKinley, Steve Cook, and Brother In Law Nathaniel Dawson. He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy: his loving wife Joyce McKinley; sisters Carlotta Johnson and Pamela McKinley; sister-in-law Mia “Lynn” Alexander; brother Michael “Mike” McKinley; brothers-in-law Houston Glaster and Mark Glaster; children Darrell Wyatt (Patricia), Tiphanie McKinley, Temperance McKinley, Tobias Glaster, Marquis May, Nicole Williams, Joyce Thompson (Twan); grandchildren DaeRell Wyatt, Darrell Wyatt Jr., Taryn Holloway, Tobias Glaster Jr., T’Nyla Glaster, Emma Glaster, Tabitha Glaster, Torez Glaster, Eli Glaster, Karter Glaster, Marquis May Jr., Quinton Jackson, and Jordan Jackson; great-grandchildren Kai’Or, Ke’Air, and Riley; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends too numerous to name, all of whom he loved dearly.
