Mother Charlie Mae Mitchell

In Loving Memory Of Charlie Mae Mitchell was born on May 13, 1945 in Drew, Mississippi to the union of Charlie and Sadie Mae Williams. She was the eldest daughter of seven children to this union. Charlie Mae Mitchell had three brothers and three sisters, all but one sister preceded her in death. Charles Williams, Jr. (Nettie Williams), Joe Willie Williams (Mary Williams), Bennie Williams (Patricia Williams), Bessie Lee Thompson (Donald Thompson), Dorothy McCann (Robert McCann), and Dorothy’s special friend and babies Father Clyde who lives in Chicago, Illinois. Charlie’s parents believed in God and went to Christian Union Baptist Church. Charlie Mitchell received her education through the public schools system in Drew, Mississippi. She was a hardworking woman that knew the importance of providing for her family. As a young woman, Charlie took care of her parents until their death, as well as her brothers and sisters. While caring for her parents, she married the love of her life, Marvin R. Mitchell in Drew, Mississippi who also preceded her in death. She was blessed with two children, a little girl who died a few days after birth, a son, and one grandson. After Charlie’s parents died, she moved north to Detroit, Michigan where she began a promising career at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan with over 20 years of service before retiring. Charlie Mae Mitchell joined New Maclin Temple C.O.G.I.C and received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior; under the leadership of the late Pastor Elder James Maclin, Sr. and on through the leadership of Pastor James Maclin, Jr. She was a family-oriented woman in personal and spiritual life. She was a caring and thoughtful person to all whose lives she touched and will forever be greatly missed. She leaves to mourn her passing but rejoices in her homegoing: her loving and devoted son Steven Earl Mitchell (daughter-in-law Angela Mitchell) of Canton, Michigan; one grandson Steven Earl Mitchell II of Detroit, Michigan. Her favorite niece who she thought of as her own daughter Angela Foster (DeAngelo M. Foster deceased) of Brownstown Township, Michigan Her best girlfriend and hair-dresser of 30-years Sandra Spanish two God daughters Waller Buford, and Flora Johnson (better known as Babydoll), long-time family friend Virginia Matthews (Eddie B. Matthews) of Detroit, Michigan, and a host of nieces, nephews whom she loved located in Drew, Mississippi, Chicago, Detroit, Canton, Brownstown, Huron Township, Flatrock, Taylor, Warren, and Westland, Michigan; along with a host of spiritual sisters and brothers in Christ at New Maclin Temple C.O.G.I.C. and friends.
