Ms. Carla Wakefield

In Loving Memory Of Carla Yvonne De Brossard was born on November 27, 1961 in Detroit, MI to wonderful parents Luben and Thelma De Brossard. She was educated in the Detroit Public Schools system at Henry Ford High School and graduated as class of 1979. Carla continued her education at University of Detroit (1994) for Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems at Wayne State University and Accounting at Walsh College. Carla was employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist prior to her demise. Carla was a faithful believer in Christ and family member to Lighthouse Community Church of God in Redford, MI since 2009. Carla was preceded in death by both parents Luben and Thelma, former husband Columbus, siblings; Mario, Dale, Darrell, LaDoris, Valerie and Laurent. Carla was a mother for two lovely sons: Marlon (Fannie Lee) - (daughter in love Ebony) and Remacus also known as Remarkus Hall II. Carla was an awesome grandmother to Marlon II, Hailey, Blair, Mikaela and Malique. She was extremely loving and devoted to family. Carla was an avid traveler in and out of the country with sister in law Phenicia and family. She was planning a special cruise with family members later this month. Carla displayed unconditional love to anyone she encountered. Carla was best known as "Devaish" which adorned her license plate. Carla enjoyed shopping, traveling, spending time with her grandbabies, attending church and spreading joy. Carla was extremely close to her cousins/sisters "Tottie" (Wanda) and Kai Bozeman whom spent most of their free time together. She kept in touch with childhood friends Kim, Debra and Helen. On July 6, 2022 the Lord reached to earth for another Angel to join the ancestors in Heaven. Carla Wakefield was chosen as a new Angel in Heaven. Carla leaves to cherish her memory: children, Marlon Wakefield (Fannie Lee), (daughter in love Ebony Wakefield), Remacus aka Remarkus Hall Jr.; grandchildren: Marlon II, Hailey, Blair, Mikaela and Malique; siblings, Luben Jr., Kevin (Florence), Marc (Phenicia), Gary - Musa (Pheriby) - big sister, Cheryl; cousin/sisters, Kai and Wanda (Tottie); niece close enough to be considered a daughter, Nikita; sister in love, Alesia Jackson; over one hundred nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, church family, adoptive family The Roger's, coworkers, dog Shelly and many friends. Carla will never be forgotten as the Fashionista and Deva that showed class and style.
