Mr. Bobby Keith Jamison

Bobby Keith Jamison was born on August 17, 1955 to Rose Edward Jamison Jr, and Mattie Rine Jamison in Springfield, TN. As a young boy, Bobby moved to Detroit, Michigan with his family. He attended Chadsey High School. Bobby decided to enroll in the United States Naval Forces in 1972. He married Almelia Robinson in 1973 and to this union two daughters were born: Jovan Jamison and Bobbie Jamison. His tenure with the military ended with an honorable discharge in 1975. Over the years, Bobby was employed by several major reputable companies in the Detroit area including the VA Hospital, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Cadillac Asphalt just to name a few. Bobby experienced many trials and tribulations of life however he had a warrior spirit and continuously worked tirelessly to persevere. Bobby was loved by so many, however the love his siblings had for him was exceedingly abundantly above any imaginable. They would talk of his cool, calm, and debonair demeanor as a young man. And how his cheerfulness and sense of humor could incite many into laughter and jovial spirits. Bobby affectionately used the phrase “Baby Girl” as a term of endearment for the women in his life whom he cherished including his sisters, daughters, and nieces. His voice, his laughter, and his radiant smile prompting the “Jamison” quintessential squinty eyes will be tremendously missed by many. On February 20, 2024, the Lord called Bobby home. His presence was a gift, and his absence will be felt by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rose Jamison, Jr. and Mattie Rine Jamison, his brothers, Ronald Jamison, Darryl Jamison and Timothy Jamison and sisters, Jacqueline Elzie (Jamison) and Beverly Stevens (Jamison). Bobby leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Jovan Jamison and Bobbie Jamison; one grandchild, Rynne Lee Sanders; eight siblings, Mable Clark (Jamison), Donnell Jamison, Forrest Jamison, Rodney Jamison, Angela Jamison, Wanda “Faye” Jamison, Mark Jamison and Rose Edward Jamison III, a very special niece whom he kept close to his heart, Rhonda Dixon, and a host of many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
