Mrs. Beatrice Stovall

In Loving Memory Of Beatrice was born on July 19, 1922 in Shaw, Mississippi to her loving parents. Lester(Tartt) and Edmond Rencher. She was the fifth of eleven children. Her parents and eight siblings, Clara, Edward, Odis, Ceola, Ernest, Edgar, Betty Lee, and Eddie Rencher, all preceded her in death. Beatrice was raised in a Christian home and was baptized in a Baptist church. Beatrice graduated from high school and then moved to Detroit to live with family. She enrolled in cosmetology school and became a licensed cosmetologist. She worked as a cosmetologist for two years. Seeking a better paying job, she applied to work at the Chrysler Corporation where she worked for several years. After being laid off, she applied for a sales job at the Crowley’s Department Store. She really enjoyed working in sales and remained at Crowlev’s until she retired in 1987. Beatrice loved to cook and she was a very good cook. She enjoyed having family at her home for Christmas dinner. Her favorite dish to prepare was fried corn and everyone couldn’t wait to eat that corn and her German Chocolate Cake. She would prepare everything. She was also an avid Gardner and organized Temple of Faith members to plant a garden on the church grounds. There were lots of greens, green beans and a variety of vegetables for all to enjoy. Beatrice’s husband preceded her in death. She was blessed with a daughter and tragically lost her granddaughter, Jennifer, and great-granddaughter, Jaidyn, who were both killed by a drunk driver in May, 2019. Beatrice was loved by many and she made good and lasting friendships. She loved attending church every Sunday. She became a Mother of Temple Faith Baptist Church and cherished all of her members. Beatrice quietly transitioned on the night of Thursday, November 14, 2024. She leaves to celebrate and cherish her memory, a loving and devoted daughter, Vera Jean Barnes, great-grandson, Jerell Moore, Jerell’s father, and Beatrice’s grand-son- in-law, Howard Moore of Wisconsin; two sisters, Mamie Johnson and Retha White both of Detroit; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, special friend, Elaine, and a loving care-giver, Sandy.
