Mr. Aubrey Dean Moorlet

In Loving Memory Of Aubrey Dean Moorlet was born August 24, 1960, in Mattson, Mississippi to Ben and Josephine Moorlet. Aubrey accepted Christ at an early age under the Pastorship of the late C.L Green of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Mattson, Mississippi. Aubrey Attended both Dublin Mississippi and Chicago Illinois public school system. While in high school Aubrey matured and earned many accolades participating in sports, band, and other clubs. Aubrey was truly an outdoorsman. He enjoyed mechanical and sports activities. Knowing within himself he was the world’s greatest auto mechanic with skills unmatched. Aubrey loved his family. He was a people person, always a happy man, even through adversity Aubrey made you laugh. Aubrey moved to Cedar Rapids Iowa in 2006. There he was gainfully employed until his retirement of 2019. Aubrey departed this life July 25, 2024, in Detroit Michigan. Aubrey was preceded in death by his dear mother Josephine Moorlet, brother Christopher Shaun Moorlet, grandparents, Columbus and Lula Battle, Morris and Lorene Allen, eleven uncles, and four aunts, Aubrey leaves to cherish his loving memory 17 children Aubrey Washington of Indianapolis, Indiana, Malik Moorlet, Christopher S.Moorlet, Aaron Moorlet, Aubreon Moorlet, Audrey Oreagba, Savanna Baker, Aubrina Roberts, Antoinette Moorlet, of Cedar, Rapids, Iowa, Shamauree Moorlet, Tashay Moorlet, Imani Moorlet, Yolanda Walker of Chicago Illinois, Attaya Moorlet of Gilbert, Iowa, Marcina Moorlet of Gary, Indiana, Rochelle Frowler of Las Vegas, Nevada, Shaquille Harris of Iowa City, Iowa. Father Ben Moorlet Senior of Detroit, Michigan. Four brothers Ben (Kenya) Moorlet Jr., of Manassas, Virginia, Disey (Marlo) Moorlet of Jackson, Mississippi, Richard (Zelda) Moorlet, and Terence, Manning of Detroit, Michigan. Five sisters, Sallie (Tommie) Cooley, Ann (Oscar) Mack, Murdis (Glen) Thomas, Linda Moorlet, and Brenda Ducksworth, all of Detroit, Michigan. Four Aunts, Aunt Lula Jones our Matriarch of the family, residing in Detroit, Michigan. Aunt Ruby Gaston, Aunt Theresa Allen, and Aunt Tina Allen all of Memphis, Tennessee. One Uncle Morris Allen Junior of Memphis, Tennessee. A host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and Friends.
