Mrs. Ainya Nicole Parker

Hearing the voice of her Heavenly Father, Ainya Nicole Parker passed peacefully in her sleep, entering her eternal home on September 5th, 2025. Ainya was born on April 23, 1976, at Outer Drive Hospital in Lincoln Park, MI, to parents Keith L. and Navania Nelson. Ainya’s love for Christ started early. At six years old, she accepted Christ and was baptized. As an active member at Pine Grove Baptist Church, she sang in the Youth Choir for several years. Ainya graduated from Southwestern High School where she excelled academically as well as athletically. She captained the softball, basketball, and volleyball teams. Ainya chose to continue her education at the University of Michigan, where she met, and fell in love with the love of her life, Blair Parker. Ainya and Blair’s love grew for each other as they ministered together in the University of Michigan Gospel Chorale, where Ainya served as a director as well as a business manager. Ainya and Blair officialized their bond, getting married on March 24th, 2001. After several years of marital bliss, they welcomed twin sons, Bryce and Blair II. Their lives were forever changed as Ainya and Blair dedicated their lives to serving their boys. No matter what the event, whether it was orchestra/band, musicals, choir concerts or at football, baseball, basketball or track and field, Ainya was easily the crowd MVP. Ainya’s love for God and her love of music was undeniable. She continued to serve the Kingdom at Third New Hope Baptist Church where she was an active member of the praise team as well as worked for Dr. Branch and Pastor Pressley as a church administrator. Ainya also sang for various recording artists, including Bill Moss and Kim Whitsett. There isn’t one person on this earth that met Ainya that could deny the blessings of God that were upon her. Her quiet strength and her unwavering devotion to her family made her one of a kind. Ainya’s legacy will carry on forever, reminding us to choose to live a life full of meaningful acts of love and service, as Christ modeled for us. Ainya is preceded in death by her grandparents Fred and Louise Hill, Cardell and Leana Nelson. Precious memories are left with: Her husband Blair, sons Blair II and Bryce, parents Keith and Navania Nelson, sister Nashae (Denver) Lee, brother Kevay Nelson, in-laws Darrow (Kathy)Parker, brother-in law Deon (Julie) Parker, sister-in-law Beckie (Jason) Burress, and a wonderful host of aunts/uncles, cousins and friends.
