Mr. Larry Joel Looney Sr.

Welcome To The Joyous Reception Of The Universe For Larry "Power" Looney, Sr. Larry Looney was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 25, 1947 to Evelyn Looney and Charles Briggins. To this union two children were born. Larry received his education in the Detroit Public School system, and graduated from Detroit Central High School. From there he attended Oakland Community College and Shaw College. His field of study was Audio-Visual Technology, Journalism and Communication with a Minor in Broadcasting. Larry was employed by J. L. Hudson for four years, Metropolitan Hospital two years. He was also employed at WJBK TV2 for eleven years and Detroit Riverview Hospital for seven years and his last place of employment was Sinai Grace Hospital for 27 years as an Instrument Technician where he sterilized surgical instruments for doctors to perform surgeries and procedures. He worked part-time, at Checker Cab Driver. He and his wife Regina Looney sold Miracle Maid Cook Ware in their spare time. They also had a financial marketing business selling life insurance. Larry was united in holy matrimony on August 25, 1973 to Regina Vinson and to this union one son and one daughter were born. Years later they were blessed with three more sons (Robert, Matthew and Anthony). Larry Looney heard the invitation from Martha Jean "The Queen" Steinberg on the radio and was Baptized by The Order Of The Fishermen Ministry on August 5, 1984. He received the Holy Inspired Teachings September 13, 1985. Son of God Larry "Power" Looney became an active member of the Home of Love, serving faithfully as a member of the Building Superintendent Committee, conducted "Testifying Time" during Sunday Service. Also, he served on the Prayer Breakfast Committee, and played Santa Claus for the Joy Building Youth at Christmas. Son of God "Power" and Daughter of Zion "Love Power" also served together as The Queen's Community Workers Inspiration Time Prayer Session in the Homes Prayer Therapists. He was reliable and trustworthy. Son of God Larry "Power" Looney supported all of the Fund Raising Activities at the Home of Love. He loved sports, rooting for any Detroit Sports Team. On April 5, 2015 Son of God Larry “Power" Looney said "Yes" and agreed with the will of the Father to evolve to another plane of life. On Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 6:30 p.m., at O. H. Pye III Funeral Home, Son of God Larry “Power" Looney was Anointed by Fisherman Earl "Doc" Savage during our T.O.F.M. 72 hour observance.
