Mrs. Cynthia "Ronnie" Williams

Cynthia “Ronnie” Williams, our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was born on November 27, 1954, to James and Effie Dial in Birmingham, Alabama. She was the 4th of 5 children. Cynthia graduated from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Michigan. She attended the Detroit Business Institute and received her Certificate of Completion. Cynthia worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for 50 years. She worked in various departments throughout the company. Those who worked with her will never forget her because she was that kind of person. Any co-worker can verify her sharp tongue, yet kind heart. She could make you laugh or cry, love or hate her within the same day. However, the next day you’d be happy to see her. She was bossy, but not a bully keeping you on point. You could always go to her for help, but it depends on how many times in one day. She’d let you know when you are starting to irritate her, then she would dismiss you. If she felt you were being mistreated, she would speak up for you. She looked out for her co-workers and made sure they had everything needed to do their job. She worked until her health took a major turn. She formed lasting friendships with her co-workers, such as Annette Womack and Debra Nowlin. Cynthia met the love of her life, Anthony Williams. They married on September 9th, 1992. Cynthia Williams accepted Christ and joined the City of Hope Church under the leadership of Pastor Peter Moore. She served as the church secretary and a dedicated faithful member. Cynthia was preceded in death by: Father (James Dial), Mother (Effie Dial), Sister (Imogene Dial), and Husband (Anthony Williams). Cynthia loved to have a good time. She liked to party. In her early years, she would go to a party and if the party was not jumping, she would pull out a deck of cards. The party would turn into a Bid Wiz tournament, “Rise and Fly”. The person who gave the party would be mad, but at the same time, looking for a partner to get into the tournament. Later in life, the party was Bingo and Keno. She hated to lose and would have you playing all night. Cynthia was a lot of fun. There will be no one like her. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memories, loving and devoted Son: Alonzo (Marsha)Dial; Brothers: Kenneth (Diana) Dial and Theotis (Angela) Dial; Sister: Anita Dial; Grandchildren: Dezha Dial and Devante Dial; In-Laws: Mother (Essie Mae Henderson), Sisters Yvette (Deldrin) Cook, Latanya (Neil) Gunn, and Darlene Williams. Brothers Domonix Henderson and Denardo Henderson; Stepchildren: Lashaunda King, Toni, Anthony, Khalil, Shuwona, Unique Ector, Markeith Allix, Paris Williams, Jasmine Williams, and Felecia Jackson; Childhood Friends 50+ Years: Cynthia Nelson, Gwen Flannel and Patricia Leanier, and a host of relatives and friends
