Ms. Cheryl Arveal Ervin

In Loving Memory Of Cheryl Areal Ervin was born on September 24, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan. From a young age, Cheryl was known for her kind and compassionate spirit, which was deeply rooted in her faith in God. She was a praying woman who leaned on her faith throughout her life, finding strength and guidance in her relationship with God. Cheryl began her education at Ruthruff Elementary School, where she first showed her curiosity and passion for learning. She continued her academic journey at Tappan Junior High School, where she developed lifelong friendships and began to shape the values that would carry her through life. In 1974, she proudly graduated from Mackenzie High School in Detroit, where she had been an active and beloved member of the school community. Her time at Mackenzie was filled with fond memories, and she carried the lessons she learned there with her for the rest of her life. After high school, Cheryl sought to further her education and build a career. She enrolled at the Detroit Business Institute, where she pursued a diploma in Data Entry Specialization. Her hard work and determination paid off, and she successfully completed the program, earning her diploma. This achievement was a source of pride for Cheryl, as she used her skills to build a successful career. Cheryl worked for UPS for over 10 years. Cheryl's dedication to her professional development reflected her drive to always better herself and provide for those she loved. However, the true core of Cheryl's life was her unwavering love and devotion to her family, especially her children. Cheryl was not only a mother but a constant source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love for her children. She poured her heart into raising them, guiding them with faith, patience, and deep care. Her love for her children knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment with them. Cheryl’s role as a mother was central to her identity, and her children were the joy of her life. Beyond her children, Cheryl’s love extended to her entire family. Whether it was supporting her siblings, being there for a cousin in need, or hosting family gatherings filled with laughter and warmth Cheryl’s deep faith also shaped the way she loved her family. She often prayed for their well-being, always asking God to watch over her loved ones and guide them through life’s challenges. Her faith and her love were intertwined, and they were the foundation on which she built her relationships with her family. Cheryl is suvived by two child Keith Ervin and Kiesha Ervin (twins), preceded in death by her parents Willie Ervin (father) and Aeveal Ervin (mother); 6 sisters and 4 brothers Thresa Smith, Willie Mae Ervin, Charles Ervin, Evelyn Hunt, Hattie Dyas (James), Winfred Ervin, Valeria Maing (Bernard), Derrick Ervin, Brenda Ervin, Randel Ervin (Debra); 4 grandchildren, Stanford Dickson, Alexis Payton, Trevon Payton, Kenya Ervin, a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, godchildren, loving relatives and friends.
