Ms. Bernadette White

In Loving Memory Of Bernadette (Harvard) White was born March 24, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the fifth child of six born to James Norton Harvard and Lorraine (Sears) Harvard. Bernadette was educated in the Detroit Public School System, attending Pasteur Elementary, Hampton Middle and Henry Ford High Schools. After graduation, Bernadette or “Bonnie” as she was affectionately known by all who loved her began her career in the Healthcare industry. Bonnie was employed at Oakland General as a Dietary Specialist. Bonnie went on to work at Sinai Grace Hospital, where she served as a Patient Care Associate with the Nursing Services Team for over 10 years; later going on to the Kindred Healthcare as a nursing assistant where she was a faithful employee until her retirement in 2014. Bonnie was in the business of caring for God’s people for nearly 30 years, and was a blessing to all she came in contact with. Bonnie accepted Christ at an early age, being baptized at 10 years old at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church under Rev. Greene. Bonnie later joined High Praise Cathedral of Faith in Detroit, Michigan under the leadership of Apostle Clarence and Prophetess Joyce Haddon. Bonnie was a faithful servant and knew who God is and that he is the author and finisher of her faith. She served as an usher, mission ministry member and an active part of the Midnight Drop prayer line, where she would read scripture to all who called in with need. On August 30, 1984, Bonnie was abundantly blessed with her beautiful bouncing baby girl; Latisha Monique Harvard, her best friend 100 grand. Tisha and Bonnie had a one-of-a-kind relationship and loved each other fearlessly. March of 1991, Bonnie Married Darryl V. White in Toledo, Ohio. Darryl preceded her in death. Bonnie was a loving mother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend who you could call on when in need, and you knew she was coming. Bonnie was a giving person with a heart of gold, and a woman after God’s own heart. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching the Game Show Network, particularly Steve Harvey’s Family Feud. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. On Saturday, December 9, 2023, Bernadette Harvard White made her transition from labor to reward. She was preceded in death her parents; James and Lorraine Harvard, brother; Gregory Andrew Harvard, sisters; Felecia Harvard Allen and Gloria Harvard, her favorite sister-cousin and best friend; Jacqueline Denise White-Gibbs. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Latisha M. Harvard, one sister; Regina Harvard, one brother; Daniel (Deborah) Harvard, one aunt; Berniece Sears Brandon, one uncle; Walter Sears, six nieces; Lakeshia (Deon) Johnson, Shenaivia (Elizabeth) Love, La’Kieya Harvard, Myesha Harvard, Summer Harvard and Makayla Johnson, six nephews; Gregory E Harvard, Brandale O. Gibbs, Dominique J Gibbs-Morgan, William R. Gibbs, Marcus B. Gibbs, Ky’Air Turner, and a host of other family members and friends who are going to keep her memory blessed and strong. WE LOVE YOU BONNIE!!!
