Mr. Alamiynu Samadu Lukas

In Loving Memory Of Alamiynu (AL) Samadu Lukas was born October 12, 1968 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Paul Chester Lukas Jr. and Rose Cooney-Lukas. He was the youngest of three boys. Al was educated in the Highland Park School system. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1986. After high school, Al worked various jobs before obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Technology from Davenport University in 2000. Over his lifetime, Al made meaningful contributions in the professional world, working first for Verizon Business, MMS Holdings in Canton, Michigan, and later for Clark Hill in Detroit, Michigan. Al was joined in holy matrimony to Tara Lowery for 18 years. Tara was a loving mother to her daughter, Tylar. Together, they blended their family, as Alamiynu had a son named Orlando. Al and Tara later expanded their family by welcoming a daughter, Jayda Rose, who symbolized the unity of their shared journey. Known for his passion for basketball, he earned the nickname "Franchise," reflecting his skills and love for the game. Al was a man of contrasts—he loved to talk yet humorously claimed to be "a man of few words," often giving the impression he knew something about everything. Al was a food connoisseur always trying different exotic foods. He enjoyed cooking, though he never liked cooking alone, valuing this time shared with his family. Al spent his free time volunteering as a Supervisor for the Detroit Grand Prix for many years and on the golf course supporting his daughter Jayda while she was perfecting her game.The highlight of his life was spending time teaching and sharing life lessons with his children. His faith played a significant role in his life, and he served with dedication as a Deacon, Usher and ultimately known as the “IT Guy” at Corinthian Baptist Church of Hamtramck MI. A cornerstone of his life was his remarkable ability to connect with people. Al never met a stranger, his warm and welcoming nature made everyone feel as though they had known him forever. Al’s life was one of connection and passion, embracing family, faith, sports, and community with enthusiasm and love. Al departed this life December 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by: brother Jake Marion Lukas. He leaves behind many to cherish his memory: His loving and caring wife Tara, three beautiful children Orlando, Tylar and Jayda, brother Paul Lukas, sister-in-laws Tia Bell and Tracey Woods, mother-in-law Linda Lowery. His step-brothers Marquellous, Sidney “Dino”, John (deceased) and Orlando (deceased), step-sisters Tawanda and O’Neia (Keith), uncle Marion, nieces Kartina and Treasure (Antonio “Tony”) and nephew Erick. His bestfriend Darwin Lewis and a host of other family and friends.
